Getting started

Give us access, in about ten minutes.

Three steps, done once. You add us as a user, so we never need your passwords, and you can remove us at any time.

Each time, add the address from your welcome email. We keep it off this page, so it stays private.

1. Your website: an editor login

So we can make the changes you approve. Never full control: we can’t change your billing or who else has access.

  • WordPress: Users → Add New User. Enter the username findwick and our address, choose the role Editor, then Add New User. An editor can change pages, but not add-ons, designs, users or settings.
  • Wix: in your dashboard, Settings → Roles & Permissions → Invite Collaborators. Enter our address, tick Website Designer, then Send Invites. It can’t see your inbox or your contacts.
  • Squarespace: Settings → Permissions & Ownership → Invite Contributor. Enter our address, switch on Website Editor, then send the invite.
  • Anything else, or someone else looks after it: ask them to add our address as an editor, never an admin. Or reply to our email, and we’ll help.

2. Your Google listing: manager access

So we can keep your hours, services and photos right, and see how many people find you.

  • On Google, search for your business’s name while signed in to the Google account that looks after your listing. On your listing, choose More (⋮) → Business Profile settings → People and access → Add. Enter our address, choose Manager, then Invite.
  • A manager can update your details and photos, reply to reviews and see your figures. A manager can’t add or remove people, or remove your listing.
  • No Google listing yet? Tell us, and we’ll help you set one up.

3. Google’s free website dashboard: view only

So we can see the searches you come up for, and measure what each change did.

  • Open Google’s free website dashboard and choose your website. Then Settings → Users and permissions → Add user. Enter our address, choose Restricted, then Add. Restricted means view only.
  • Never set it up? Skip this step. We’ll set it up with you.

Removing us later

Use the same screens: choose our address, then remove it. You keep every change we made. What we do with this access is in our terms and privacy policy.
