Terms

These terms cover findwick.com, the free check and our service. Last updated 5 October 2026.

Who we are

Findwick is run by Solid Computing Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 07795981, VAT number GB 122 3552 51). Registered office: Apollo House, Hallam Way, Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool, FY4 5FS.

The quickest way to reach us is our contact form, or a reply to any email we send you. Our email address is hello@findwick.com.

The free check

The check reads the public pages of the website you enter and reports what it finds. It’s guidance, not a guarantee of results on Google.

Please don’t use Findwick to overload or harm any website. We limit how many checks one person can run, and follow the rules each site sets for automated visitors. How we keep reports is in our privacy policy.

Our service

You buy our service for your business, not as a private person. Even so, we keep to the standard private buyers get: clear prices, no contract, and cancelling as easy as signing up.

Every week we check your website and your searches. We fix what you approve, grow the pages that bring customers in, and report in plain English: a short note every other Monday (every Monday in your first month), and a note each month. If something important breaks, we tell you that week. How it works describes the work in full.

  • Nothing changes without your yes. If you like, you can say yes once to small wording fixes in general: page titles, descriptions, picture descriptions and broken links. We then make them without asking each time, list each one in your Monday note, and stop whenever you ask.
  • Every change is yours. We make changes in your website itself, never with a script that stops working when you leave. We keep the old wording of every change, so any change can be undone.
  • Nobody can promise a place on Google, and we don’t. Google decides who comes up, and it changes how it decides. We tell you plainly how long each search is likely to take.
  • Technical jobs go as steps. Jobs such as your website’s address, speed or settings, and anything we can’t reach, go as exact steps to you or whoever looks after your website. We aren’t responsible for work they do or don’t do.

The access you give us

At the start we ask, once, for limited access: an editor login to your website (never full control), manager access to your Google listing, and view-only access to Google’s free website dashboard. Our access guide shows how, in about ten minutes.

  • We use the access only for the work you approve, and to measure the results.
  • We never need your passwords: you add us as a user.
  • We don’t look at customer records or messages your website holds.
  • You can remove our access at any time. Without it, we send you the exact steps for each change instead. Without access to your Google listing we can’t measure the guarantee, so it no longer applies.

Prices and paying

  • £79 a month. Our first 20 customers pay £49 a month, fixed for 12 months from their start date.
  • A year paid up front costs 10 months’ price.
  • Prices exclude VAT. We add it when you pay, at the rate set by law (now 20%).
  • You pay by card, or by Direct Debit where we offer it, through Stripe, our payment provider, monthly or yearly in advance from your start date. We never see your full card number.
  • We take on a few new customers at a time, so each one gets proper care. If we’re full when you sign up, we’ll tell you honestly when your place starts, and you pay nothing until then.
  • After their first year, our first 20 customers move to our price at the time. We offer a yearly plan 60 days before, and give at least 30 days’ notice of the new price.
  • If we change our price for everyone else, we give you at least 30 days’ notice, and you can cancel before it applies.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the next few days and we tell you. If it still hasn’t gone through after 14 days, we pause the work until it does.

Cancelling and pausing

  • Cancel at any time, online. Use Manage your plan, linked at the bottom of every page, or reply to any email from us and we’ll cancel it the same working day. We confirm every cancellation by email.
  • A monthly plan runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, and nothing more is taken. We don’t refund part of a month, apart from under the guarantee.
  • We remind you 30 days before a yearly plan renews. It doesn’t renew once you cancel. If you cancel within 14 days of paying, including for a renewal, we refund it in full. After that, it runs to the end of the year you’ve paid for, and the guarantee still applies.
  • Pause instead of leaving. You can pause for 1, 2 or 3 months, free. We still run a light check each month, and remind you 7 days before your plan restarts. Months on pause don’t count towards the guarantee’s six months.
  • When you leave, you keep every change we made. We stop using our access, and show you how to remove it.

The six-month guarantee

If, by month six, fewer people in total are seeing you on Google and Maps, calling, asking for directions and clicking through to your website than before we started, we refund your last three months.

  • How we measure it: we add up what your Google listing counts: how often people saw you on Google and Maps, and how often they tapped to call you, asked for directions or clicked through to your website.
  • We compare the weekly average in your sixth month with the same weeks a year earlier. If your listing is less than a year old, we compare with the eight weeks before you started.
  • We check it ourselves in your sixth month, tell you the result, and refund without you having to ask.
  • On a yearly plan, we refund three months’ worth.

For the guarantee to apply:

  • Keep our manager access to your Google listing switched on from your first month, so we can measure. If you remove it, the guarantee no longer applies.
  • Reply to our suggestions within two weeks: yes, no or not now. Saying no counts.
  • Keep your plan active until the end of month six. Months on pause, and weeks when the work is paused for a missed payment, don’t count towards the six months. The guarantee applies once for each business.
  • It doesn’t apply if you closed for more than two weeks, moved address, moved your website to a new system without telling us, or Google suspended your listing for reasons outside our work. If Google changes how it counts something, we compare only what it still counts the same way.

What we’re responsible for

  • We take reasonable care with your website. If a change we made is wrong, we put it right at no cost.
  • We aren’t responsible for Google’s decisions, for your website’s host, or for work done by anyone else on your website.
  • We aren’t responsible for lost profits or other losses that don’t follow directly from something we did.
  • In total, the most we’re responsible for is £1,000, or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim if that’s more.
  • Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn’t let us limit, such as fraud.

Your customers’ information

Your website and Google listing may hold information about your own customers, such as messages sent through your website or the names on reviews. Where our access lets us see it, we handle it for you, and only as you instruct:

  • we use it only to do the work you asked for, never for anything else;
  • we keep it confidential, and only the people doing your work can see it;
  • we keep our systems secure, and use only the services named in our privacy policy;
  • we don’t copy or keep it, and we stop all access when you leave;
  • we tell you without delay if anything goes wrong with it, and help you answer anyone’s requests about it.

If you’d like a separate written agreement about this, ask us and we’ll sign one.

Your information

How we collect, use and keep information, including your Google figures, is in our privacy policy.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with anything we’ve done, tell us through our contact form or by replying to any email. We reply within two working days, and aim to put things right within ten.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we tell you at least 30 days before. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change applies.
